Anticipate allowable deductions for the payment month. See PM 13-01-04 through PM 13-01-08 for allowable deductions. For expenses paid weekly or every other week, convert to a monthly amount (see PM 13-02-03) to determine the amount of the deduction.

Do not use this procedure to calculate the amount of the child support deduction, which has a special calculation (see PM 13-01-07).
