Clients are eligible for medical assistance as a zero grant cash assistance case if they meet the following criteria:

  • Form 552 Item 60 is coded with a Status Indicator of 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7.
  • The client has no SSI Income.
  • The client's excess income is equal to or less than the SMIB premium.

Authorize medical assistance using zero grant reason 9.
