Special payments may be authorized in the following situations:

  • Correction of an underpayment, which occurs when a client received a monthly benefit that was less than what the client was entitled to receive.
  • Payments for the repair of a braillewriter, radio, or typewriter. The cost of the repair must be at the most reasonable rate.
