When it is learned that a trust fund exists for a child, do the following:

  1. Give the payee Notice Regarding Trust Fund (Form 2484).
  2. Set a control for 45 calendar days from the date on Form 2484.

Verify a trust fund using the following:

  • trust instrument or will which established trust; or
  • court records.
