Money in the bank account of a child in which the amount in the account accumulated only from the earnings of a child in the assistance unit is exempt. The interest earned on the account is also exempt. Gifts given to the child that do not exceed $50 per quarter that are placed in the account are also exempt.

Quarters are defined as the 3-month periods of January through March, April through June, July through September, and October through December.
