When authorizing child care benefits, determine whether a copayment applies and, if so, the amount. The copayment amount depends upon:
- monthly income,
- family size; and
- children's school attendance.
Verify these factors:
- at the initial application for child care,
- every 6 months, and
- whenever a change that may affect the copayment amount is reported or discovered.
Review these factors each time a child care copayment is determined.
