  1. Approve Moms and Babies during the 60-day postpartum period, for a woman who is no longer pregnant when she applies but is eligible for Moms and Babies.

    Example 1: A woman who is no longer pregnant applies 07/14/02. The pregnancy ended 04/11/02. The woman is found eligible for Moms and Babies starting 04/02. Since the woman is eligible for Moms and Babies as a pregnant woman, she is eligible for the 60-day postpartum coverage.

    Example 2: A woman who is no longer pregnant applies 08/31/02. The pregnancy ended 04/11/02. The woman is ineligible for the 60-day postpartum coverage because she could not establish Moms and Babies eligibility as a pregnant woman during the month of application or within 3 months before the month of application. 

  2. Complete Form 552, see WAG 25-08-01-b, except:
    Item 3 - Enter TA 10, Approve and Cancel.
    Item 28 - Enter G.
    Item 33 - Enter TAR 81, Increased Need for Medical Care.
    Item 41 - Enter the last day of the month that the 60-day postpartum period ends. Use a 6-digit date (MMDDYY).
    Item 60 - Enter EDD and the month and year (MMYY) the pregnancy ended.
    Item 78 - Enter P.
    Item 80 - Enter 159 CI. Enter the monthly countable income under AMOUNT. Enter zeroes if there is no countable income. Enter the number included in the Moms and Babies income standard under PERSONS.
