(FCRC/All Kids Unit)

Complete Form 552 with TA 11/TAR 06, to authorize eligibility for a date prior to the current processing month. Enter the first month of eligibility in Item 77.

Do not authorize eligibility for the current processing month, and then send Form 2958 to the Exception Processing Unit, unless it is not discovered until after the approval that eligibility should have been backdated.

Item 32 is not updated when the beginning eligibility date is adjusted by the Exception Processing Unit. This means that the 12-month eligibility period will be wrong and the family will receive an extra month of benefits before being renewed.

Example: The A family's application is denied due to excess income on 12/07/02. The family appeals the decision and presents documentation to the worker on 12/28/02 that the family is eligible for All Kids Share.

Eligibility should have began effective 01/03, but it is now the 02/03 current processing month. Complete Form 552 with TA 11/TAR 06 and submit to the Exception Processing Unit. The 12-month eligibility period is 01/03 through 12/03.

If the case is approved by the Family Community Resource Center effective 02/03 and Form 2958 is submitted to EPU, the 12-month eligibility period will remain as 02/03 through 01/04 and the family will receive 13 months of benefits before being renewed.
