PM 04-05-02: The SNAP Unit
WAG 04-05-02.
A SNAP unit can be:
a person of any age who lives alone; or
a person who lives with others, but usually buys and prepares their food separately; or
a group of people who live together and who usually buy and prepare food together. However, a person who meets
elderly disabled status
and their spouse, may be a separate unit even though their food is bought and prepared in common with the other people they live with.
