When the Family Community Resource Center learns that a P3 client does not have an SSI application pending, or does not have an SSI appeal pending at the reconsideration or ALJ level, and there has been no central action, suspend or cancel P3 based on the central action criteria:

  • If the SSI denial date is within 65 days of the date of the Family Community Resource Center action and no appeal has been filed (Appeal Code is blank), or if the SSI denial has been upheld at the reconsideration level (Appeal Code = R and Appeal Decision Code = UF, 1D, 2D, 3D, 4D, AD, WD; or Appeal Code = H and Appeal Decision Code = 1D, 2D, 3D, 4D, AD, WD) suspend assistance using TA 21/TAR 73. Form 2509AC is centrally issued.
  • If the SSI denial date is more than 65 days from the date of the Family Community Resource Center action and the Appeal Code is blank, cancel assistance using TA 22/TAR 73. Form 157C is centrally issued.
  • If the SSI denial has been upheld by the ALJ (Appeal Code = H and Appeal Decision Code = UF; or Appeal Code = A and Appeal Date later than 11/00), cancel assistance using TA 22/TAR 55. Form 157C is centrally issued.

    When P3 MA has been suspended or canceled by the Family Community Resource Center, use the same procedures for resuming or restoring that are used on central suspensions/cancellations: 

  • Resume assistance effective the date of the suspension or cancellation. Use TA 13. Item 80 code 373 RESUM is centrally entered.
  • Restore assistance effective the date of the suspension or cancellation. Use TA 12. With TA 12, the Family Community Resource Center must enter code 373 RESUM.
  • If the current appeal status is not reflected on the SDX screen, complete and forward Form 1925 to SSA Programs Control. Attach proof provided by SSA of the appeal status.
