The HIPP Unit sends the client a notice at least 10 days in advance of the next premium due date when they decide a health plan is no longer cost-effective. They pay premiums during the appeal process, if the client files an appeal within 10 days of
the date of notice. The HIPP Unit schedules and conducts the pre-hearing meeting. They send the client copies of all information used to make the decision to cancel premium payment. They complete and distribute the Statement of Facts.
