The Illinois Department of Human Services Division of Rehabilitation Services (DHS/DRS) is implementing a new "Electronic Visit Verification" (EVV) system for its Home Services Program (HSP). This system will help make timekeeping for individual providers, homemakers and home health care agencies faster, easier, and more accurate.
We started using the new EVV system on January 1, 2014. If you are a Home Services customer, individual provider, homemaker or home health agency, see below for more information on what you need to know to use the system.
- NOTE: We are implementing a "safety net/grace period" for the first several weeks of the program to allow Customers and Individual Providers to get used to the system. During this time, we will continue to use paper time sheets along with the new system to make sure that there are no interruptions in services or pay checks.
- Providers, please call in, record the exact times of your calls on your regular time sheet, and send it to your DRS office as usual.
