Testing Checklists

The following checklists can help developers and testers check the accessibility of their web pages:

• Web Accessibility Quick Test Checklist - quick and easy tests can be used to check accessibility during development.
• Assistive Technology Quick Reference - the essential commands for operating ZoomText, JAWS, and Windows/Internet Explorer accessibility features.

Online Testing Tools

These online testing tools can analyze web pages for common HTML and accessibility errors. Note that none of these tools (yet) tests specifically for compliance with IITAA Standards, and no automated testing tool can identify all accessibility errors:

• W3C Markup Validation Service - test for valid HTML/XHTML code.
• Functional Accessibility Evaluator (FAE) - test for compliance with the UIUC/iCITA HTML Best Practices.
• WAVE - test and visualize compliance with leading accessibility guidelines.

Contrast Testing Tools

The following tools can be used to check whether color combinations meet minimum contrast requirements:
