Pursuant to Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) as amended in 2011, the Illinois Department of Human Services has posted revised policy to bring the Illinois Early Intervention Program into compliance with Part C federal regulations. Part C of IDEA addresses services for children birth to 3 years of age with developmental disabilities or delays and their families.
Revisions to the policies and procedures for the Early Intervention System of Payments and Fees have been proposed and will be posted for 30 days prior to being adopted. You may view the revised policies by clicking on the links below.

Public comment will be taken on the policies and procedures for 30 days. Comments will be accepted beginning November 13, 2013. All comments must be received in writing by close of business on December 13, 2013 . Please send written comments to the Illinois Department of Human Services, Bureau of Early Intervention at 823 East Monroe in Springfield, IL 62701.
Public hearings must be held on this revised policy. The dates and location of the public hearings are listed below. Each person presenting oral testimony is asked to provide a written copy of his/her testimony at the time the testimony is presented.
Hearings will be held at on December 16, 2013 from 10am to 12pm at 401 South Clinton, Think Tank Conference Room in Chicago, Illinois and on December 19, 2013 from 10am to 12pm at 100 S. Grand Avenue, East, 2nd Floor in Springfield, Illinois.
