¿Qué es UDIS?
El programa de Servicios Unificados de Intervención Para Delincuencia (Unified Delinquency Intervention Services - UDIS) provee servicios a jóvenes entre las edades de 13 y 17 años que están en riesgo de colocación en el Departamento de Correccionales. El propósito del programa UDIS es apartar a jóvenes delincuentes del sistema de justicia juvenil comprometiéndolos a una conducta pro social y de trabajo para reintegrarlos a sus familias, escuelas y comunidades.
Los jóvenes son referidos al programa UDIS por el oficial de probatoria del joven. El programa provee servicios intensivos en la comunidad por un periodo aproximado de seis meses. Cada joven es evaluado por el proveedor UDIS, y se desarrolla un plan de intervención y se proveen servicios basados en las necesidades individuales del joven. Los servicios del centro incluyen consejería individual o de grupo, terapia de familia, intervención de crisis las 24 horas, capacitación para destrezas de la vida; abogacía judicial, enlace con recursos de la comunidad, y administración del caso.
¿A Quién Se Provee Servicios?
Jóvenes entre 13 y 17 años de edad que tienen dos sentencias o han cometido una grave ofensa por la cual podría ser confinado al Departamento de Correccionales.
