"Governor Bruce Rauner on Friday August 25, 2017, signed HB 3213 amending the Illinois Public Aid Code (305 ILCS 5/9A-11), to add as an intake priority service group families that are not recipients of benefits under Temporary Assistance for Needy families (TANF) program with incomes not exceeding 162% of the Federal Poverty Level that need child care assistance to participate in education and training activities.

Effectively, HB 3213 became Public Act 100-387 as of August 25, 2017 and allows families that are not recipients of TANF with incomes not exceeding 162% of the Federal Poverty level that need child care assistance to participate in education and training to apply to the program."
