02/24/15

Summary:

  • Effective 2/26/2015, assign a 12-month approval period instead of a 24-month approval period for AABD Cash or Medical SNAP units when all adults are qualifying members with no earned income.
  • This change is being made effective 2/26/2015 when IES will begin assigning a 12-month approval period for these cases.
  • Effective 2/26/2015, ACM and IPACS edits are modified to not allow an Item 24 date that exceeds the regular roll date plus 12 months.
  • Cases that are already assigned a 24-month approval period will be assigned a 12-month approval period at the next SNAP redetermination. There is still a contact requirement for these units during their 24-month SNAP approval period per PM 19-05-00.
  • Due to an additional high unemployment waiver extension granted by FNS, the entire state is now exempt from the SNAP Work Requirement through 12/31/15.

In order to better align SNAP approval periods with Cash and Medical redeterminations, assign a 12-month approval period for AABD Cash or Medical SNAP units when all adults are qualifying members with no earned income.

Exempt from SNAP Work Requirement

Due to an additional high unemployment waiver extension granted by FNS, the entire state is now exempt from the SNAP Work Requirement through 12/31/15.
